About the role
Do you seek the opportunity to work with innovative, multinational companies within high-tech, automotive and telecom? We at Gapwaves design and manufacture mm-wave antennas and production equipment based on our patented waveguide technology. As our Production Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for our production equipment, both deployed internally and at external production partners. You will also take the project manager role for deployment of new Gapwaves antenna production lines.
You will work within Gapwaves' newly established Supply organization, being an integral contributor in Gapwaves journey to become a recognized supplier of waveguide antennas. Quite simply, you will have the opportunity to ensure that our products reach the global mass market.
Your main responsibilities:
• Service & maintenance planning
• Spare parts management
• Technical Training
• Code & software maintenance (PLC, Robot, Python)
• Customer point-of-contact
• Supplier point-of-contact
• Project management for deployment of new systems
We are looking for a ...
• true problem solver. You like to collaborate but at the same time organize and take responsibility for your own work. We expect you to have a track-record from high volume production industry preferably within electronics manufacturing and a solid interest in production technology, automation, and machinery. You are used to interacting on technical topics with both customers and suppliers, and you enjoy frequent travelling.
Programming experience is a desired competence, preferably within robot programming, PLC and/or Python. Experience with RF measurement instruments and test development is also highly merited.
Our wishes:
• Relevant education within Mechanics, Mechatronics, Automation or programming
• 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Fluent English, both in speech and writing
