Scania is built up by its modular system, which means that our customers can chose almost an infinity of specifications on their requested truck, where their choices are decided by branches and conditions in the product tree structure. By helping build, develop, and maintain the product structure in an efficient and logic way, Product Structure Coordination helps create the future vehicles of Scania.
Your tasks
As a product structure coordinator, you have an important role in creating and verifying possible specification variants on the Scania vehicles. You will work closely with the R&D designers in their product development, by handling digital Engineering Change Orders (ECO's) and figure out how their product changes can fit in to the product structure, which is divided in to different product family levels, and functional codes (FPC-codes) and have numerous conditions to make sure the correct parts are used for each vehicle specification..
• You will be involved in cross functional projects at Scania and work close with R&D Designers, Production preparation, and Marketing.
• You will work as a help, support, and expert regarding product structure possibilites for current, and future, products according to the modular toolbox.
• Youwill work within product development projects within the whole product life cycle; both in concept development, industrialization development, and product maintenence.
• You will handle deviations from production an market department connected to specification errors
• You will work with verifying and correcting possible frame hole positions in the chassis structure
• You will work as a trigger function for production introduction by raising status and sending out approved Engineering Change Orders (ECO) from R&D to cross functions at Scania.
Your profile
For this current position we are looking for someone to join our team for development of Chassis installations. You will use product 2D drawings, Geometrical CAD 3D models, and other product documentation to make sure that the new products or components is possible to install on to the chassis, and to make sure that there are compatible frame holes on the right place for installation of the component on the chassis
• We believe you have an interest for technology and have an education within a technical field connected to product development, IT or similar
• You might have experience as a product development designer, production preparator, or have previous been working with product structure
• You are used of working with data bases, or complex data (such as Aros/OAS) and feel comfortable working with computers as your main tool throughout the day
• You have experinence of CAD, such as Catia, and feel comfortable with reading product drawings, product structure information or product data descriptions
• As a person youare communicative, service-minded, and feel comfortable with working both by your own and in a team.
• You are quality driven, and able to work towards deadlines
• You are support-oriented, open for new ideas and actively contributes to continuous improvements.
• You feel comfortable in working in both English and Swedish
