ADB SAFEGATE is currently seeking Product Specialist within our product area, Intelligent Lighting & Power Solutions
ADB SAFEGATE improves Airport Performance around the world by providing solutions that increase efficiency, safety and sustainability. We are now strengthening our commercial Products and solutions management department, by growing our product specialist team that will be supporting both our internal and external stakeholders with product expertise.
In this role, you will be given the opportunity to act as one of ADB SAFEGATE 's global experts and will be an integral part of managing our product area, Intelligent Lighting and Power Solutions. As Product Specialist you will be part of our global product marketing department where we will have six Product Specialists acting within three different product areas.
As Product Specialist in Intelligent Lighting and Power Solutions, you will be the product management interface and be working in close collaboration with multiple stakeholders internally such as R&D, Production, Quality, Sales, Service and Supply Chain management to ensure that our products and systems maintain their place as the top in the world. You will be responsible for the daily technical sales support and secure the information flow to our internal organization and act as a link between our various units.
In this role you will work closely with Andreas Wirandi, the Product Manager within Intelligent Lighting, but are also expected to be able to work independently. You will report to Pernilla Gallon, our Director Product Management.
As a Product Specialist you will support major projects with your in-depth technical knowledge. You will work both theoretically with analysis and interpret regulation texts, technical writing as well as practical. The position also includes that you will hold technical product trainings related to your portfolio, both internally as well as to customers to ensure required skills to handle our products and systems.
Within the commitments the role will require a flexibility to travel world-wide.
In addition to this, you will also get the opportunity to:
• Being a technical specialist and support our R&D department and customers on how your product and systems can best be applied to customer needs
• Share best practice and be coordinator between customer and R&D
• Supporting the organization and customers regarding features, functions, compliances and certifications of the Intelligent Lighting and Power solution assortment
• Taking an acting role in our internal work with international aviation standards, like ICAO and FAA
• Identify and coordinate product maintenance requirements
• Contribute to product requirement specifications for development projects
• As a Product expert, participate in customer meetings to provide technical sales support
• Join our efforts to improve our internal processes and make sure we work as efficiently as possible and offer the best possible support for our colleagues around the world
Qualities:
We are looking for an analytical person with great interest in technology and customer offering. You are a theoretical, but you still need to manage to solve problems in a practical way. You must be able to look at the details without losing the big picture. You are analytical, reliable, trustworthy, social, communicative person with plenty of initiative who can easily adapt to new tasks and sudden changes. You are not afraid to help, or to ask for help if necessary and do not put any prestige into the tasks. You have also the ability to explain technology in an easy way and prove the value of it to our customers.
Education/Experience:
We expect you to have at least a Bachelor degree in Electrical engineering, Engineering Physics or equivalent experience from Airport industry. We believe you have at least three to five years of working experience, preferably from R&D or Airport industry. It's meritorious if you have experience from customer relations, project management or other goal oriented positions. It's an advantage if you have experience of holding presentations and/or trainings. Understanding and experience with ICAO, FAA regulations is a great plus as well as field experience from Intelligent Lighting and/or Power solutions.
For this role it is a requirement that you are fluent in English, both verbal and in writing. Swedish and other languages is an advantage.
