Product Service Manager

As Product Service manager you will be responsible for all aspects of service during the product lifecycle as well as contributing to deliver targets for service within the organization for the product groups power cutters and drill motors.
The Product Service Manager(PSM) is responsible for technical issues related to field quality from a global perspective. This includes, but is not limited to, identifying and handle field quality problems, performing root cause analysis by hands on examination alongside with using data performing analysis from service systems as a mean to identify epidemic failures and report overall field quality status for the product group.
The PSM is an active and essential part of the product development projects providing relevant input and execute tasks in projects securing products and services with high serviceability. In addition, the PSM has a key role to act as an expert on product service supporting the sales organization and performing service training. For the right candidate there is great flexibility to develop the role, since we in near future are adding on connected products (and services) in our product offering, as well as moving in to new technology platforms with our products.


The position includes:
• Tech support. Provide remote and onsite technical support, as well as in-depth product service expertise, for central and local organizations in all relevant situations, being able to prioritize and respond quick to urgent cases.

• Product failure analysis. Perform product failure analysis that may be hands on, including trouble shoot complications related to product installation and perform root cause analysis and together with R&D contribute to solutions.

• Product quality analysis & reporting. Analyze and report data from systems such as service field reports and warranty statistics. This can be used to support hands on root cause analysis, identify epidemic failures, quality development over time as well as input to product improvements.

• Tech documentation. Initiate, create/drive the issuing and updates of IPL (illustrated parts lists) , WM (Workshop manuals) and SB/SMB (Service bulletins).

• Product development. Work as a key member on new product development projects and secure efficient serviceability. Also, propose and if needed prioritize product improvements based on field quality input.

• Training. Provide technical training for sales companies through onsite and in house educational programs

• Product lifetime management. Maintain the assortment and update IPLs and STEP attributes for existing products & spare parts.


Travelling: about 20% of time (approx. 50 days per year).

Requirements
You may have a background in engineering or has acquired similar skills by other experience.
You have a genuine technical interest and knowledge, an advantage is to have an understanding for both mechanical and electrical systems.
You have analytical skills combined with hands on skills. You are comfortable using Microsoft Office products and comfortable in communicating in English. An understanding of the construction equipment industry and our products is an advantage, or experience with similar type of products or systems.

You have a sense of urgency, find satisfaction in prioritizing your workload whilst maintaining a flexible and proactive approach to your responsibilities, whether you're working autonomously or as part of a team.
