We are currently going through exciting changes within Regulatory Affairs and Product Safety at Essity which enables us to bring in additional passionate and business-driven colleagues around the world! Following Essity 's strategic move into healthcare and its acquisition of BSN medical, a leading medical device company, as well as the growing regulatory demand also in hygiene products, we have now created a dedicated, global Regulatory Affairs and Product Safety organization within our Business Unit Global Hygiene Category. The Global Hygiene Category leads Essity's hygiene brand portfolio and delivers brand development and innovation within the product areas of Incontinence Care, Baby Care, Feminine Care, Consumer Tissue and Hygiene Solutions.
To be part of the Global Regulatory Affairs and General Product Safety team in Gothenburg we are now looking for a globally acting Product Safety Specialist, focusing on Environmental Labelling.
The position could be located in Gothenburg, Hamburg or Mannheim.

Main Tasks
The purpose of the role is to fulfil market expectations regarding the environmental safety of our products by means of certified product safety labels (e g EU Flower, Nordic Swan).
Driving ecolabel certifications of the Personal Care product assortment with accredited bodies
Assessing the ecolabel-relevant content of chemicals in the current product range and advise the best approach to achieve ecolabel compliance
Manage relationship with material suppliers, where restricted to Product Safety
Work with innovation and product management teams as well as stakeholders in Global Supply to include and ensure the required ecolabel conditions within development and upgrade projects
Build, maintain and master a database for ecolabel-relevant information of our product range
Be the expert contact for the business for ecolabels
Key Competencies
Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or related field
Knowledge in environmental and/or product safety
Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
Experience in the cooperation with certifying bodies advantageous
Self-motivated working style, accurate
Strong business sense and willingness to work with different internal and external stakeholders
Advanced English skills, both orally and written
Affinity and skills to work with IT-supported tools such as Office, SAP
