Within the Business Area Specialty Chemicals (BASC), the Product Safety & Regulatory Affairs (PSRA) department is responsible for regulatory compliance, export control, chemical registrations, and product safety among other tasks. The mission of BASC PSRA is to proactively manage compliance by utilizing harmonized PSRA procedures and systems in a professional and business minded winning organization. The PSRA Department provides this support to five BUs.
Within the BASC PSRA department, we have an opening for a position as Senior PSRA Specialist within the Registrations team. The position is located in Stenungsund (Sweden) or Arnhem (Netherlands), and will be providing registrations support initially to the Surface Chemistry BU, and additionally to other BUs as assigned.
Responsibilities:
• Generate and compile necessary data and product information (human health/ eco-tox, phys-chem)
• Perform cost analysis and follow up for REACH registration projects for assigned BU(s)
• Compile chemical safety reports including applications and exposure data.
• Compile scientifically based (cost-effective) testing strategies, present to the business, consortia and regulatory bodies.
• Participate in relevant business meetings, advocacy and lobbying activities, post registration activities and continuous improvement projects.
Job requirements
• Master or PhD in organic chemistry, analytical chemistry or toxicology.
• 5-10 years of working experience from the chemical industry in an R&D or regulatory department.
• Experience in registrations, hazard risk assessments for regulatory purposes and project management.
• Very good problem solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
• Fluent in English ? written and spoken
