The department, Industrial Engineering, is a department within Manufacturing & Logistics, located at the VCT plant.

In Industrial Engineering VCT, the main task is to implement, introduce and maintain quality-assured, effective and standardized production systems in the plant. In cooperation with different teams the team implements a process driven product development with focus on effective and quality-assured production, as well as robust design- and process solutions. Together with 13 team members in Gothenburg, you'll increase the commonality and share best practices by working with other Volvo Plants Globally.

Main responsibilities:
As Product Process Engineer you will be responsible for all IE/PPE related tasks for current production models and to set up, follow up and adjust all ME related targets. You will represent Volvo Cars Manufacturing Engineering IE/PPE in all plant related foras and decisions. The main tasks will consist of:

* Supporting production in technical issues
* Be responsible for investigations- and actions when manufacturing variability deviations are noticed by CMQ/VRT-teams
* Actively participate in the VRT Variability Reduction Team as part of the CMQ
* Prepare material (facts and figures) regarding proposed product or process changes and for eventual investments
* Identify and support continuous improvements in order to reach world class.
* Initiate product changes to Commodity when required by QDFIPS targets
* Lead second line analysis upon request from production
* Initiate and implement corrective activities
* Have the knowledge of all PII: s, TPII: s and process instructions used in the plant
* Feed Lessons Learned to Core and Commodity

Required qualifications:
* Technical competence at senior high school or university level, or equivalent experience
* Knowledge about the processes, methods, and tools at Manufacturing and R&D
* Swedish and English in spoken and written
* Driver's license

Meritorious qualifications:
* Practical experience of Industrial processes
* Experience from the automotive industry
* Leader experience is a benefit

To fit in to this position, you are analytical, detail oriented and hungry for solving complex issues.
