This team operates and evolves the most central part of Meltwater's vast library of content, playing a key role in the ingestion, enrichment, access of all of the company's current editorial and social media assets.
Meltwater believes that business strategy will be increasingly shaped by insights from the growing world of online data that lies outside the corporate firewall. We see the marketplace for media continuing to evolve in the direction of new content formats, shortened delivery times and an explosion in outside-the-firewall content volume. You will play an integral part in defining our vision for the next generation services aimed to keep Meltwater the world leader in this domain. To make our services truly shine, we rely heavily on having multiple teams across the company plug into our services to enrich our repository with their detailed knowledge of the world, putting additional emphasis on your ability to prioritize requirements and coordinate dependencies across multiple parallel projects and time zones.
You must be located in, or willing to relocate to, Gothenburg, Sweden, where this team resides and have a valid work permit for EU/Sweden.
Responsibilities
Confidently Articulate and evolve the vision for the Content Platform
Work closely with stakeholders across the organization to make sure that you and the team provides for the company's short- and long-term goals.
Help the team realize the value of their work and appreciate how their deliverables impact the business.
Define, track, and interpret key metrics to ensure your team is doing the right things, while not spreading too thinly. A healthy balance of innovation, support and maintenance is key for all successful teams at Meltwater.
Work hands-on with the development and UX team to prioritize, plan, design and deliver software that meets requirements.
Represent your product both internally and externally. Acting as a key evangelist and product expert.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
Who you are:
You have at least 5+ years of relevant product management, product owner experience in an agile software product development environment.
You are an interdisciplinary thinker, skilled at blending different perspectives in pursuit of a mission.
You have excellent leadership and relationship building skills.
You are good at working through uncertainty.
You have a proven track record of developing and managing world-class software products, preferably using agile development methodologies.
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively communicate at varying levels of detail with all levels of internal stakeholders in one-on-one and group situations.
You are structured and give close attention to details.
You are persistent and rational in that you put facts above speculation.
Desired Skills
Scrum Product Owner certification (CSPO)
Experience as a Product manager of a large scale SaaS product preferably B2B
Experience with data mining and analytics tools at big data scale
Experience defining products & solutions containing large data sets from multiple sources
Background in Big Data, specifically around volume, velocity and veracity.
Professional background includes software development
