In recent years the demand for advanced wiring harness and low voltage systems, together with its services, has constantly been increasing. The opportunities and challenges that lies in front of us are no longer just on the vehicle side, but nowadays also on the cybersecurity and communication between vehicle and back-office.

Our team currently consists of 22 committed engineers with different professional backgrounds, interests and history but with a common mindset: Develop ourselves and our products! Our team plays a big and important role in the value stream of wiring harness and low voltage solutions where we are responsible for the development and integration of new functions and features in our vehicles. Having a global responsibility, the solutions developed within the team can be found in Volvo buses all over the world, helping millions of people every day to reach their destination. What can we propose?
You will contribute to our world-class development and integration of electrical system solutions with the aim to reach our Zero City vision: zero emissions, zero noise, zero accidents and zero congestion. You will lead the development area of wiring harness and low voltage and will work closely together with different stakeholders within AB Volvo in order to achieve our customer's expectations.
As a product owner you shall have the ability to plan and manage the development project from start to finish. You will own the product area backlog and be responsible to create and prioritize the features towards the team. You will also give support to the team leader and product development team to meet the increment objectives. It will be also your task to inform the project and stake holders regarding the status of the development of the product.

Becoming part of our team is easy. You just need to be a skilled team player, with excellent communication and collaboration skills, that is genuinely interested in product development and sharing your knowledge.
B.Sc. or higher education in Electrics, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics or similar is highly valuable as well as previous experience from design of wiring harnesses and low voltage systems.
Since you have good engineering judgment and priorities, you have the ability and interest to technically support, lead and challenge colleagues in their work and their mindset. You like to share your passion for technical solutions and you have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. As a person you are positive, you display driving force and have a structured way of working.
Main area of responsibility:
You will be a part of the Wiring Harness and Low Voltage group within the Electrical & Software Architecture Department. You will play an important role in achieving our wiring harness and low voltage program targets and your main responsibilities are:
Lead the development process
Create, manage and prioritize backlog features targeting customer needs
Own the product area roadmap and backlog
Support the team and team leader to achieve the increment objectives
Continuous feedback to project and stake holders regarding the status of the product
