Publiceringsdatum2014-10-29Dina arbetsuppgifterWe are looking for someone who wants to work as Product Manager with responsibility for parts of the area of garden products. The main areas of responsibility will be soil, fertilizers, bulbs and seeds, with a strong focus on range building and negotiating the best possible terms and conditions for Plantagen in all countries. The position is at Group level and is based in Stockholm. You will report to the Business Area Manager.
As Product Manager, you will work with product range planning, product development, market analysis, supplier strategies, purchase planning, etc. You are familiar with the terminology of cost management and gross-margin & gross-profit development, and you know how to build a long-term advantage over the competitors.
Together with your business area manager, you will have the overall responsibility for these product groups - from planning product ranges until the products reach the end customer. Your role will also include developing private label products/EMV and securing the commercial side of your area of responsibility.
The position requires you to travel.

Utbildning/erfarenhet
We are looking for someone with at least five years' experience from a role as Buyer, in which you worked with international purchases and imports, and private label products/EMV, ideally with experience from a large retail chain with a strong focus on products and category optimisation.
You have solid negotiating experience and a good understanding of logistics and building up successful retailer-manufacturer collaborations.
We consider it an advantage if you have worked with garden products such as: soil and fertilizers, bulbs and seeds. It would be useful if you have experience of working in growth companies.
To succeed in this role, you are results-oriented, ambitious, motivational and a team player. The work requires you to be precise, systematic and self-motivating, with an ability to make decisions. You are communicative, can deal with stress and have an ability to prioritise.
Excellent skills in spoken and written English are necessary and we consider it an advantage if you also speak one of the Nordic languages.
