Job Description
The Product Manager is accountable for creating exceptional value to our customer and end-users as part of the value stream they practice within. This includes identifying and understanding customer and end user needs, monitoring the market, and developing competitive analysis, defining a strategy and roadmap for the product, aligning stakeholders, prioritizing product features and capabilities, managing the team backlog, and working closely with a multi-competent team to successfully develop (buy / build), deliver, and maintain digital capabilities to drive business and customer value. The Product Manager ensures the team is constantly measuring the outcome of what they have achieved. They regular reassess the team's focus to ensure they are solving the most important problems. Product Managers are responsible for both the development and operations of their product and play a key role in ensuring adherence to guidelines and guardrails. Ultimately, the Product Manager is accountable for ensuring solutions are valuable and viable; together with their team, they are accountable for the results of their product. The Product Manager needs to have excellent subject matter expertise related to the specific product(s).
As a Product Manager you should have great leadership skills, believe in a culture of collaboration, transparency, safety, and trust. Product Managers use strong communication and curiosity to understand the company, competitive landscape, and end users and align a roadmap with stakeholders that focuses on solving the most important problems. Product Managers focus on creating exceptional value for the business and end users with accountability to ensuring solutions are valuable and viable.
Responsibilities:
Accountable for creating exceptional value to our customer and end-users as a part of the value stream they practice within.
Close collaboration with value stream to secure that the product is aligned to stream goals. Deeply understand of the needs of end-users / customers through customer data, user interviews, and customer research, working in close collaboration with Product Design / Research as appropriate
Track industry trends and continually monitor the competitive landscape
Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the company to understand the company strategy and develop a product strategy focused on solving the most important problems through digital capabilities and technology
Develop hypothesis-led business cases to outline the expected value from products and secure funding for the product.
Handle project risk and manage uprising issues
Set and communicate effectively a clear product strategy and roadmap to key stakeholders and the product team
Work closely with Engineering to translate roadmap into concrete user stories that articulate value for the end user
Work close with Product Design to integrate usability studies and research into product development to enhance user satisfaction and customer-driven design
Work closely with Business Experts to make sure business processes are implemented correctly in the product and that end-users are onboard.
Responsible for team planning, maintaining the backlog and prioritizing day-to-day work of the product team based on the given targets and KPIs
Align with other Product Managers to manage dependencies and ensure interfaces to other products are maintained
Define, implement, and track performance metrics associated with their product to ensure continual optimization and stable performance
Responsible for value associated with both development and operations / maintenance of products, including adherence with guidelines and guardrails (e.g., security, regulator)

Qualifications
Ability to:
build end-to-end product strategy, including definition of scope, roadmap, and KPIs and understand product development from ideation to deployment
gather, analyze, and understand customer and business needs and understand impact against product backlog and impact on team
integrate qualitative and quantitate research, product analysis, and customer insights into a product strategy
solve hard problems with many constraints, using sound judgment to assess risks and outline an argument in a well-structured, data-informed narrative
communicate clearly and align multiple stakeholders utilizing data and insights
engage with engineers, designers, and company leaders in a constructure and collaborative relationship
lead a cross-functional development team to achieve a common mission, prioritizing work and inspiring the team to improve
clearly express the connections between larger business goals and small backlog items for team members
learn multiple functional areas of business - engineering, design, finance, sales, marketing
