Westermo in Sweden is currently looking to recruit Product Manager who will be responsible for a portfolio of industrial data communication products. Your job will be to successfully translate our business strategy and market requirements into a competitive portfolio and manage associated portfolio planning and oversee development activities. A large part of the role also includes product launch activities, managing the portfolio through the different phases of the life cycle and work with the complete organization to continuously improve the portfolio.
Main responsibilities
• Market and customer analysis
• Capture outside market situation (market, customers, competitors, trends, etc.), understand customer drivers and needs, and translates these into product requirements and further strengthen our value proposition.
• Managing the portfolio of products
• Continuously improve the portfolio through in-depth understanding of the products and its current situation. To manage the portfolio through the different stages in the product life cycle and take pro-active measures to maintain out strong brand equity and maximize short and long term profitability.
• Plan and oversee the development of new portfolio
• Work with idea generation and innovation, capture market requirements, create market requirement specifications for new product development, prioritize product development and oversee development activities.
• Successful go to market
• Professional launch of new products to the market, work with sales and sales support to increase sales of existing products, pricing strategies, and continuously support market communication activities.
You will have a lot of internal and external contacts and be an important part of Westermo's continuing growth. The role includes travelling to our market channels all over the world. The job is placed in our brand new Västerås office.
Skills and competences
• Education
• * Master degree in Business Administration or Information Technology, or similar field of study
• Experience
• * At least 5-10 of relevant working experience
• * At least 3-5 experience of product management in an industrial environment
• * Experience in the Power Industry, Intelligent Transportation Systems, Water & Wastewater, Train networks, or other similar industries is rewarding
• Skills
• * Product management, including creation of product strategies and product market requirement specifications, product feature prioritization, market introduction and communication, etc.
• * Data communication
• * Network infrastructure
• * A good general understanding of industrial products, markets, customers and channels
• * Proven track record in ability to generate business.

Soft skills
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role
• Good presentation and communication skills. Fluent in both Swedish and English
• Very systematic, analytical and structural
• Good collaboration with others as you will work with many parts of the organization
• Able to take own initiatives and work self-sufficient to follow them through
