Do you want to help in enabling a fossil free living within one generation?
Business Unit Assets is now looking for the right person to lead our growth in contracted flexibility
In Business Unit (BU) Assets we maximise the value of all Vattenfall assets through optimal bidding and dispatching of power plant capacities. In addition, we are responsible for the development and execution of an appropriate hedge strategy of the overall exposure of Vattenfall. BU Assets is active across Europe with around 90 highly skilled employees in Stockholm and Hamburg.
With a growing share of intermittent in the energy system and our portfolio we see a growing demand for fossil free flexible supply/demand and storage. In order to maintain a robust and profitable portfolio we will need to supplement our existing flexible assets with contracted flexibility from batteries, electrolysers etc.
To benefit from the ongoing transformation of the Vattenfall portfolio as well as the transition of the energy system, our focus lies on increasing efficiency, driving the adoption of advanced analytics and automation and developing our capabilities to enable the optimization and steering of existing large scale power generation assets as well as new, decentral, energy systems.

As Product Manager for contracted flexibility, you will report to the Head of BU Assets and together with experts from various teams have the following key responsibilities:
Assess flexibility need from our portfolios
Set strategy per market
Prioritize leads on flexibility contribution and geography
Internal pricing conditions
Set contract conditions
Assess current portfolio under management and give direction to focus change
Required mandates and P&L allocation
Interface to Group on flexibility development
End-to-end process owner of contracted flexibility


Qualifications
At least 5 years of relevant work experience
Relevant experience in the areas of Business Strategy, Consulting, Project Management or similar
Experience of agile development and stakeholder management
Good understanding of the energy market and its current developments
University degree in relevant areas
Fluent English, both written and spoken.
