The Product Information Management department within Sandvik Coromant is responsible for ensuring that relevant, correct and complete information is available to our customers, partners and internal users. Our responsibilities range from processes and platforms to information models, structures and classifications, and it also includes development of the industry standard for exchange of product information.
The industry in which we operate is quickly becoming more digitalized and automated, meaning that the need for correct and adequate product data is one of the corner stones in the digital journey we have ahead of us - often referred to as Industry 4.0. Therefore, we are now offering an exciting position with great potential for a person who wants to develop a key role in the digitalization of Sandvik Coromant. Do you want to be that person by participating on the continuing journey in the digital arena? We are looking for a Product Information Specialist to join our team of eleven co-workers. The position and the team are located in Sandviken, Sweden, but we work in a global network.
Key performance areas
As Product Information Specialist your primary purpose is to influence and drive the development of the industry standard used for exchanging information and utilization of our tools. You participate in international committees and networks to develop the cutting tool standard as well as develop and secure own implementation, information management and information models that support our digital solutions and offerings. An important part of your mission is to secure information consistency across the information landscape of product and related areas used in a production process. Additionally, you support the organization with your knowledge of product structures and classifications of information.
As we interact and collaborate with global stakeholders, travel is a natural part of this position.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a technical degree from either a college or a university with experience of production processes, particularly knowledge of tools and machines and information exchange between the two. We value experience with information management and information structures as well as a holistic point of view regarding architecture. Previous experience or knowledge of Coromant and our products, and the metal cutting area in general, is a plus. As we work in a global environment, you have excellent skills in English and Swedish, both verbal and written.
