WHAT YOU WILL DO
As Product Development Manager at the Stockholm head office, your main contribution will be to optimize product development and production processes to ensure timely delivery, high quality, and cost-effectiveness while meeting sustainability targets and fostering strong collaboration with suppliers and cross-functional partners. This is a parentel leave cover and you will report to the Senior Product Manager.
You will play a vital role by:
Manage development critical path from initial design through to pre-production
Deliver within allocated delivery window
Source and research materials according to design brief, aiming for sustainability targets if applicable
Attend development and production fittings, providing proactive input on quality and fit
Manage costing process and margin analysis, aligning negotiation strategies with senior product manager
Allocate styles among factories, ensuring high make standards and target prices
Maintain bill of materials (BOM) and product information in internal PLM system
Monitor and adhere to seasonal development budget
Collaborate with suppliers, including on-site visits, for day-to-day operations
Foster communication and collaboration with cross-functional partners to meet product requirements

Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships both internally and with suppliers

Specific experience and knowledge for this role:
Academic degree, in fashion and or textile education
Minimum 5 years experience in a product development role preferably from high-end fashion brands
Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
Highly proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel
Knowledge of PLM is a merit
Good costing and negotiating skills
