The Infotainment & Connectivity team is now looking for a Product Buyer for Connectivity on a temporary position during a maternity leave until mid Feb 2018. You will be part of a team with 9 buyers and you will be responsible to secure current and future business as well as day to day tasks. The group belongs to Electrical Purchasing and we work with components such as touch displays, head up displays, audio systems, connectivity modules, navigation and apps, and with brands such as Google, Spotify and Pandora.

Connected Services is already an integrated feature in todays connected cars and will play an even more important role in future cars. This can now be your next area to work within.
As a Product Buyer you will work specifically with the Connectivity area within the team, i.e. all the software, services and apps. Such as navigation, music services and smartphone connectivity. For this position you preferably have a background within the Infotainment & Connectivity area, e.g. within Purchasing, R&D, Product Planning or Marketing. It is also an advantage if you have experience of working with sourcing of services.
Main responsibilities
* Responsible to negotiate the annual result for the current business and perform actions (market tests etc.) needed to optimise the business over time
* Lead the Purchasing work, together with R&D/ Product Planning/ Marketing, to perform sourcing actions
* Secure a Market Competitive offer, over time, for Volvo Cars and its customers within the business area of Connectivity
Required qualifications
* Commercial/ Financial alt. Technical education at University or likewise
* Good and creative negotiation skills and really enjoys to negotiate
* Interest in the area of Connectivity
* Good skills in communication
* Experience of working as product buyer, contract manager or likewise is highly meritorious
* If you have experience working within the Connectivity area within e.g. R&D or Product Planning this will be seen as advantage compared to other candidates
* Meritorious if you have experience from negotiation of legal agreement text
* Meritorious if you have experience from Volvo Cars purchasing system SI+
Personal qualities
* Able to manage multi-tasking/multi-projects
* Able to plan and drive your own work and deliver result in time
* Target oriented and enjoys challenges
* Motivated by identifying/enabling/creating new solutions and new business opportunities in this area
* Positive and flexible mindset, enjoys working in an ever-changing area.
* Good skills in team cooperation
