hela Sverige We are looking for a Product and Platform manager within our product segment/business unit Driver Information. In the role as Product and Platform manager you will be responsible for one of our cross functional engineering teams in our HQ in Solna and a member of the Driver Information Management team.
Your role
The challenges ahead for the Product and Platform manager is to continue to drive the advance development for our Instrument Cluster and Display platform. As the Product and Platform manager, you are the ambassador for global collaborative development, communication and compliance of the platform for the complete Driver Information team. The Product and Platform manager is also part of the Product Management team responsible for the product definition within the Driver Information business unit. The largest functional area of the cross-functional Product and Platform team is embedded software development. Our products with in Driver Information are true embedded systems for automotive with powerful micro controllers and large high resolution displays. We work with real-time OS as well as with Linux and other higher level operating systems.
As a manager you will be responsible for:
• Developing the team's individual and collective capability
• Support the projects with the right competence and develop the technology and competence in the area.
• Plan and manage resource allocation, headcount, budget and forecast.
• Coordinate the activities in your team with respect to the other teams/departments.
The position offered will require some traveling between different development sites and customers. You will report to Vice President, Driver Information

Good leadership skills are the most important qualification for this role. For us at SRE this means a decentralized and supportive leadership based on management by objectives. You should have confidence in leading teams globally in different time zones and cultures. Good communication skills and fluency in English is necessary for this role and previous work experience outside Sweden is beneficial. Furthermore, do we see that you have the ability to take a holistic perspective; a strong customer oriented approach and strive for results.
The ideal candidate has previous experience from:
• Software development
• Project management or Line management
• Product management
• Automotive or other vehicle industry
• Embedded real-time systems and Linux systems
• Minimum a bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Computing Science or similar relevant education
• Experience in software development from both from management and technical perspective is meritorious.
