Role Summary:
The Lead Buyer will drive the Field Sourcing Strategy locally; represent sourcing in the ITO Tendering Process; negotiate local Service Agreements; review, evaluate, and transact department purchase requisitions; ensure that competitive bidding and negotiation with supplier has been undertaken and are in line with annual Targets/goals; create and reviews purchase orders; researches and resolves receiving and accounts payable issues; inputs, edits, and retrieves purchasing data.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Ensure Competitive pricing in ITO Tendering Process

• Utilising competitive bid Policy, followed by Competitive negotiations at OTR Order phase to drive deflation

• Year on Year and project savings once Order is won, or forecast is known for strategic multiyear deals

• Analyse Spend profile, to drive Creation of/ and Manage local supplier contracts, supply agreements, and/ or e-auctions with preferred suppliers in the region to ensure that market trends, supplier performance, and future business needs are aligned

• Execute Sourcing requirements on time and accurately by creation/ releasing PO's to preferred supplier panels

• Ensuring complete ownership of S2P fulfilment process for own orders

• Lead and drive strategic initiatives locally on days to pay (D2P) improvement, supplier rationalisation, sole source risk reduction

• Order fulfilment improvement

• Cost of Failure (COF) reduction and recovery and QMS/ Integrity/ GE Spirit and the Letter compliance

• Actively support on sourcing issues during outage preparation and execution phases

• Analyse and track Service/ Goods deliveries and ensure Supplier promise date and material/ service need by date are achieved

• Provide and update purchasing performance reporting

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Business Degree/Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college

• Project Management, Purchasing/Sourcing Qualification (Prince2, CIPS, or similar business administration degreeIn-depth understanding of Sourcing concepts and principles gained through formal education and substantial work experience

• Meaningful experience in a variety of Sourcing positions with increasing scope

• Proven Negotiator, with ability to drive the best deal

• Demonstrated experience in making operational sourcing decisions and effectively interfacing with high-level business and operations leaders

• Developed (oral and written) communication and diplomacy skill set with the ability to influence others by presenting sound and logical arguments tailored to the audience

• Digital Working Environment - Able to operate and be fluent with the use of analysis tools, and develop digital solutions to improving work process would also be an advantage

Desired Characteristics:
• Power Generation or similar Medium/Heavy Industrial Experience working with Planned and Emergent requirements

• Willingness and ability to travel (15% Max) to support Nordic Region Sourcing stakeholders
