Global Procurement Propulsion & Sustainability at Volvo Cars is responsible for developing purchasing strategies, new vehicle/platforms sourcing with the best in class concept, supplier sustainability, supplier quality, supplier footprint set-up/optimization, and cost reduction for all direct material supplies to Volvo Cars related to components within our responsibility area.

Within our team, we now have 3 open positions as Procurement Propulsion director for Battery, Power electronics & Aluminum, E-Drive, and Thermal respectively.
What 's in it for you
As Directors for Procurement Electric Propulsion, you will lead 3 Global Category Managers (GCMs), 1 procurement team in Europe with about 30 employees, and global responsibility for the business. As global responsibility for the business, you will work in close cooperation with the Procurement Vehicle Propulsion China and the US to find and secure the best global synergies and business setup both internally and externally. You will be part of the Global Propulsion and Sustainability Management team. You will lead and develop your department and talents as well as contribute to developing the global Propulsion and Sustainability Procurement unit in total. Close collaboration with R&D, Finance as well as Manufacturing is key in order to drive the business. You need a good holistic understanding and a good strategic view to thrive in a global, cross-functional, challenging, and fast-transforming environment.
What you will do
You will pro-actively work with partners and stakeholders to find ways to increase value and ensure alignments for best practices. You will develop relationships with global key suppliers to ensure - focus on environmental and social impact, delivery & capacity, quality, design concept, flexibility, and supplier footprint, and on Total cost. Own, develop and take full ownership of your business to secure a high-performing & profitable company. You actively contribute to the Procurement Transformation journey and influence others towards our common goals, especially in your role, you will drive for an un-mature and fast-changing business - electrification. Develop global supplier strategies and best practices for purchasing. Recruitment, new employee introduction, competence development, and salary setting.
You and your skills
You have previous senior leadership experience in Purchasing, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, or R&D. You can demonstrate experience from leading and coaching people and teams through continuous feedback and coaching. You enjoy driving continuous improvement projects with increased capability and/or efficiency. You possess strong business acumen, drive, and ambition with excellent negotiation skills. You drive both long-term strategic issues and short-term operational issues. You hold a commercial or technical university degree.
You got the analytical and problem-solving skills to be able to facilitate and communicate the resolution of complex issues with an attitude, - yes we can!

You prefer an inspiring and charismatic leadership, with the ambition to develop people and teams. You possess a strong determination and mindset that everything is possible!
