hela Sverige As a Procurement Bid Manager, based in Västerås and working for the Propulsion part of the organisation, you will be responsible for material cost and strategy input into both the product work and into the bids. You will represent Procurement in the product and bid teams and work together with the Procurement community to collect strategies and material cost for both the product work and for the actual bids. You will be an active member in the cross functional teams for products and bids and you will be the coordinator within Procurement to ensure relevant and competitive material cost for all our product platforms.
YOUR ROLE
• Define the target price and, together with other functions, agree on a relevant product strategy and actions to get a relevant procurement bid input.
• Ensure valid sourcing strategies are integrated in to the Bid and Product work, in close cooperation with involved buyers.
• Ensure and obtain a validated EBOM (Engineering Bill of Material) from the Engineering teams and complete it with relevant material cost.
• Deliver the CBOM (Costed Bill of Material) including sourcing strategy to Bid Management
• As part of the product, bid and procurement teams; drive and identify cost reduction initiatives to ensure competitiveness.
• Act as the Procurement representative on the Bid Core team and in the product platform teams.
• Work closely with buyers and global lead buyers to ensure the Procurement and Supply Chain strategies are implemented in the Product Families; in order to support the full Product life cycle commercially and technically;
• Ensure all Product Families and variants Procurement risks are identified with clear mitigation actions;
• Ensure a hand over process from Bids to project execution with the designated Project Procurement Managers;
• Engineering or commercial degree, complemented by a demonstrated track record of success;
• Secondary degree such as MBA / MSC desirable;
• 5-8 years' experience; Procurement, Project Management, Finance or Engineering can all be relevant backgrounds;
• Technical knowledge of the different systems and materials used in our business or very pronounced interest to acquire this knowledge;
• Experience in working in a global environment / global teams;
• Strong analytical skills and continuous improvement skills;
• English at a fluent level is mandatory (both written and speaking).
