Role Summary:

We are seeking a Process Technician / Radiochemist to join our team based at the Akademiska Hospital, Uppsala. The Imanet production team consists of group of technicians who have responsibility for the production of radioactive tracers for use in PET investigations.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Production of radioactive tracers for use with human patients
• Support completion of quality control processes during production process
• Maintenance and servicing of production equipment according to planned periods as well as on a needs basis
• Monitoring of material requirements including ordering of chemicals and materials used in the production process
• Working with and development of GMP documentation
• Support to the production manager in relation to environment, health and safety (EHS), safety in relation to working with radioactive substances, regulatory requirements and GMP/Quality demands.

Qualifications:

• 3 - 4 years experience as process technician or operator in similar or related environment
• Fluent in both English and Swedish, both written and spoken
• Ability to work within tight deadlines and within strict controls
• High level of responsibility and attention to safety
• Ability to work in a structured, organized and well planned manner
• High level of consciousness with regards to quality
• EU work permit

Desired Characteristics:

• Bachelors Degrees (3 years) within relevant scientific area or equivalent technical certification / experience
• Minimum two years chemical laboratory experience in an academic of industrial setting
• Training and experience in GMP
• Experience in PET chemistry
• Accustomed to working night shift
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work both on your own and in a team

Please note this position includes requirement for shift work - both night and early mornings. Normally there are two night shifts per week (work hours roughly about 02.00-08.00).
