Problem Analyst Interior
Interior Engineering consists of four sections with 45 to 110 employees, each focused on delivering world-class interiors for our future cars. We are responsible for all product documents defining the interior of the car. The four areas are Interior trim, Seating, Cockpit & Surface Material and Restraints.
We develop the instrument panel, tunnel console, door panel and interior trim in-house with our own engineers. In the areas of seating and restraints, we use Design & Development at suppliers and they develop the systems with our guidance. We are responsible for all phases of the development, i.e. annual work, advanced engineering, concept development, industrialization, quality and cost reduction.
Attributes connected to Interior Engineering are seating comfort and interior illumination. We work in a cross-functional work process with Procurement, Design, Manufacturing, and Product Planning and as well other development units within P&Q.
The interior of the car is where you create a state of wellbeing, excellent customer satisfaction and a motivation to buy a Volvo again! The Problem Analyst will represent all four interior technical areas with analysis of product problems to assist the Quality Action Leader (QAL) with quality concern resolution to improve customer satisfaction. Your focus as Problem Analyst is on the products produced in Torslanda plant. You will work with analysing and defining problems based on comments from dealers, customers and internal departments. You will collaborate with design engineers at interior as well as external stakeholders.

Main responsibilities
* Scope and define the quality issues related to interior department to enable prioritization
* Actively lead and perform analysis in the phases; Define, Measure, Analyse (G8D/DMAIC)
* Implementation of interim service solutions and production solutions.
* Help to implement permanent corrective actions and solutions as updated design or instructions to dealers and customers.
Required qualifications
* Technical high school or other equivalent education
* Experienced in working with quality item resolution or other relevant documented work experience
* Experience from automotive industry is meritorious
* Good communication skills, with ability to adjust communication on different levels and customers
* Good knowledge of product development processes
* Experienced in working with quality item resolution is meritorious
* Fluent in English, written and spoken; Swedish is beneficial
* Driver's license "B"
Personal qualities
We are looking for someone with strong feeling for customer satisfaction. You have positive attitude and high drive for result. Further, you should have analytical ability and structured with good operational skills.
You should have holistic approach, be brave with high integrity. The position requires you to be non-prestigious and to promote common targets. Moreover, we expect you to possess great communicational skills, both verbally and written, due to strong collaboration with different internal and external stakeholders.
