What's in it for you?
Autonomous drive is here and the Contamination & Core CFD section plays a big part in this. One of the groups major challenges is to secure full functional sensors in a variety of weather conditions. If you are the right person for this job, you will realise the opportunity to play a key role for having reliable transportation in the society. This is done by developing and verifying the systems and components in Volvo Cars future vehicles, together with highly skilled stylists and designers. As if that wouldn't be exciting enough, you'll also have a team of 18 competent engineers within the area of contamination & cleaning. This is the place for you to broaden your network and prosper!
What you'll do
As Principal Engineer you have the ability to develop robust concepts of design solutions and evaluates system availability, with both virtual and physical methods in different climate conditions. You'll actively participate in early design- and program pahses to develop technical contamination concepts. This means you're responsible of networking with external partners to optimize attribute performance as well as developing attributes. Securing that program content is alignded with decided program, co-working with different department and supporting the organisations with facts and experience is part of your responsibilities as well.
Do you fit the profile?
* MSc in engineering or equivalent work experience is a demand
* We believe you have at least ten years of experience in the attribute area of contamination, water management and cleaning, where you've gained knowledge of contamination/soiling
* Experience of the work done in concept phase is qualifying
* We believe you have work experience of interfacing subsystems
* Good skills in English, both spoken and written is a demand
* Experience as technical leader, advisor or mentor is meritorious
* Experience in project management and knowledge in tools and systems is meritorious
