INFORMATION OM LEDIG TJÄNST
Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics is seeking a Pricing Strategist to join its Global Pricing team based in its Ocean Operations Center in Stockholm. The Pricing specialist will maintain WWL's global liner pricing strategy in alignment with Sales teams and Trade Units - in order to sustainably develop business and maximize profitability in WWL's Ocean Transport business. The candidate will enhance and fine tune WWL's new concept for pricing. The role is also overall responsible to ensure FMC (US Federal Maritime Commission) compliance and optimize FMC filing processes. Professional Responsibilities and Authority: . Define pricing strategy on a trade basis (pricing indicators, markets level, ..) . Update Pricing strategy on regular basis for each Trade, reflecting performance criteria (vessel utilization, EBT ,.), competitive environment and pricing activity/hit rate. . Evaluate and propose tariff/rate adjustment in order to maximize commercial and operational results. . Capture commercial and market indicators - translating these in to adjustments to tariffs or pricing rules. . Ensure product adjustments are reflected in tariffs. . Analyze and improve FMC filing process in order to facilitate dynamic pricing. . Ensure FMC compliance through adapting pricing process and updating tariff rules . Communicate and promote pricing strategy and business rules to Sales organization in order to improve success ratio. . Participate in improving pricing model and methodologies for optimized pricing . Lead the development of dynamic pricing concepts
The successful candidate must have either a strong knowledge within shipping/transportation/logistics or relevant experience in a strategic pricing role. Knowledge of maritime and transportation law, specifically relating to FMC processes is an advantage. The candidate must be an excellent communicator and be globally minded, working well within and across international teams. Lastly, the candidate must be highly profitability focused and constantly proactive in terms of identifying and auctioning improvement opportunities.
