Volvo Trucks Area Europe (VTE)

VT Area Europe, headed by Roger Alm, is one out of five Sales Areas in the newly formed Volvo Trucks organisation. Area Europe has the responsibility for 13 Markets and 33 countries in Europe, but operates in all European countries where we sell or import Volvo trucks.

Commercial Trucks & Fleet sales, VT Europe is now looking for a talented and experienced manager to join the Area office in Gothenburg

Price Manager Volvo Trucks Area Europe

The purpose for this function is to support the markets with best practice within price management and the central fleet sales organization within commercial Trucks & Fleet sales. This function has a critical role to secure VTE objectives, market share and secure profitability within commercial trucks.

The position holder will be a member of VTE commercial Trucks & Fleet sales Management team and report to VP Commercial Trucks & Fleet sales. The position is located in Gothenburg.

Key responsibilities:
• Define the overall price strategy
• Develop and provide best practice for dealer bonus schemes (including bonus models)
• Set and follow up financial targets related to new trucks sales
• Define authorization policy for Commercial Trucks
• Best practice and guidelines for campaigns
• Monitor and drive volume, market share and gross profit on Commercial Trucks
• Monitor the market and local competition and initiate corrective actions and give input to Product mgmt. and Transport solutions about potential GAP
• Support VTE central fleet sales team
• Manage the VTE price management network
Profile:
You have an open and positive attitude, drive to improve, flexibility and ability to work in a proactive way on your own initiative. You also have a genuine interest in our commercial business. The job requires that you create a good network within and outside of Area Volvo Truck Europe; therefore your ability to communicate and to work with people on different levels and in different areas is essential.

Qualifications:
• Customer and business oriented mind-set
• University degree in business/technical or equivalent experience
• Leadership skills
• Enjoy working through people and develop good team spirit in a co-operative way of working
• Analytic profile with cross-functional background preferred
• Preferably you have worked in sales and/or financial role
• Drive to reach objectives is essential and the ability to communicate clearly and in a business oriented way is prerequisite
• Excellent communicator, fluent in English, both written and spoken
