hela Sverige Inside GTT (Group Truck Technology), Powertrain Controls System Technology is a global organization (France, Sweden, US, India, Japan & Brazil), which has the responsibility to develop powertrain electrical systems solutions for the Volvo Group.
One area of expertise of Controls Systems is the development and installation of electrical components (sensors, wiring harness, starter).
We are looking for an Engineering Leader who will lead the engineering activities in order to harmonize the technical solutions according to the technical and business targets, across products and sites.
The field of responsibility relates to Wiring Harnesses, Power cables, subsequent Tier2 components and connectors.
Main responsibilities
• Lead the Global work to harmonize the development for its technical area.
• Direction setting to the Global Component Responsibles
• Responsible for follow up of technical activities within the responsible area.
• Technical responsibility within the System & Component Team
• Responsible for the engineering recommendation for supplier selection
• Define / Drive strategy for commonality within and between powertrain platforms
• Build the technical roadmap synthesis with contribution from the engineering community, and submits the proposal to Global Technology Managers, Project Leaders and Technology Area Vice President
• Contribute to the Advanced Engineering roadmap
• Secure that knowledge is captured and reused for their technical area

Requirements
• Master of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent
• Recognized Hardware Engineer in Wiring Harness Technology is a plus
• Vision & Strategy on both Heavy Duty & Medium Duty Engines
• Demonstrated Leadership experience
• Fluent in English
