hela Sverige Volvo Group Purchasing is looking for an Operation Buyer in the Operation Powertrain Europe team, located in Gothenburg (Sweden).

As Operation Buyer, you will be responsible for a purchasing portfolio of components delivered to GTO powertrain production plants. You will be part of a dynamic and integrated European buyer team located in Gothenburg and Lyon.
Missions
The Operation Buyer continuously challenges and develops the suppliers to improve Cost, Quality and Delivery performance for parts in serial production. You will lead and develop continuous improvements at the suppliers to maximize the benefit for our customers :
• Manage a purchasing portfolio in a proactive mode
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers in order to secure the best cost, quality and delivery performance
• Find possibilities and drive negotiations in order to implement extra cost savings on top of price agreements
• Use Volvo Production System toolbox to drive efficiency across the supply chain
• Drive supply chain optimization activities (SCO) in close cooperation with suppliers
• Responsible for initiating and/or negotiating product changes and modifications in production phase and participate in Quality Journals projects
• Perform purchasing activities related to production orders, logistics and financial flows to the suppliers
• Ensure implementation of contracts and agreements with suppliers
• Forecast prices evolution
• Manage risk mitigation and crisis activities
• Build and maintain a strong relationship with internal cross functional stakeholders such as engine factories, other buyers, product development, aftermarket etc.
• Report in direct line to the Purchasing Manager
Qualifications
• University degree in Business, Engineering or related field
• Initial experience in Purchasing and/or extensive negotiation experience in a supplier/customer relationship would be valuable
• Multicultural experience is an asset
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Business Acumen
• Positive attitude and target oriented approach
• Strong team player and the willingness to share best practices and learn from others
• Ability to lead tasks and take initiatives : self-driven
• Willingness to travel occasionally/frequent

Qualifications
