hela Sverige AnoxKaldnes is looking for a postgraduate student / R & D engineer.
Description/ Key Responsibilities
Monitor and operate a pilot plant biopolymer production process.
Evaluate and optimize pilot plant operating conditions.
Manage technical aspects of the pilot plant and solve problems.
Plan and perform experiments at laboratory and pilot scale.
Contribute to ongoing research and development activities for PHA.
Perform analyses of water quality, biomass, and polymer material properties.
Support in routine maintenance on instruments and equipment.
Contribute to the recovery and characterization of biopolymers produced.
Compile, analyze and report on results and activities.
Supervise personnel involved with technical and other supporting activities.
Qualifications
PhD in the domain of chemical engineering and/or biotechnology and preferably in the subject of polyhydroxyalkanoates.
Practical experience at both laboratory and pilot scale research and development related to the production, separation, characterization and processing of polyhydroxyalkanoates from mixed microbial cultures.
Demonstrated track record in both oral and written dissemination of original leading edge scientific research.
At least four years practical experience in biological and materials science related to the production, recovery and properties of polyhydroxyalkanoates in mixed cultures.
International experience.
Multilingual.
