We are now looking to hire a Postdoctoral Scientist with placement in Gothenburg, Sweden.



The focus of the postdoctoral project is developing new strategies of precise genome editing approaches to apply for target validation, disease modeling and therapy. In particular the postdoc will work with animal model of neurodegenerative diseases and will apply new tools and methods developed in the AZ Precise Genome Editing team.



Essential Requirements

You should have a Ph.D. degree or corresponding experience in a relevant scientific discipline with experience in drug discovery or, alternatively, a first degree and significant relevant experience in drug discovery.



You should have good social and communication skills, be collaborative and a strong team player. You should be able to work independently, take own initiatives and have a positive, goal oriented and problem solving attitude. Good organisational skills are required and you should be comfortable in presenting your results. Excellent English is required, both spoken and in writing.



The following skills are highly desirable

* Expertise with in vivo delivery of viral and/or non-viral vector with particular emphasis with brain delivery
* Molecular biology expertise and manipulation of cell lines, mouse embryonic stem cells, primary, iPSC cells and iPSC derived neuronal lineages.
* Expertise with generation and engineering of 3D cell structure, organoids and Microphysiological systems (MPS)
* Generation and of viral vectors (lentivirus, AAV, Adenovirus) or LNP for in vitro and in vivo genetic engineering
* Functional characterization of gene modified mouse lines or in vivo edited mouse models
* In silico analysis of genetic perturbation after genome editing.
