Division
The eating disorders research group is a new entity at MEB and has been established under the auspices of the Swedish Research Council to create a World Center for Innovation in Eating Disorders Research at Karolinska Institutet.

Our interdisciplinary work spans disciplines and aims to enhance knowledge about the causes, treatments, and prevention of eating disorders.

Duties
This research project aims to gain a comprehensive understanding of genetic and environmental factors that contribute to anorexia nervosa via an in-depth study of identical twins who are discordant for the illness. Individuals eligible to be employed as a postdoctoral researcher should have completed their PhD studies within the last seven years. Individuals who graduated earlier could be considered under special circumstances.

Qualifications
Applicants should have a PhD in psychology or related disciplines and have experience working and doing research with individuals with eating disorders. The applicant should be a licensed psychologist. The applicant should be familiar with neuropsychological testing, structured psychiatric diagnostic interviews, microdialysis procedures, fMRI, and genetic and biomarker studies. Fluency in Swedish is a necessity for patient interaction and a track record in writing scientific publications in English is preferred.

Entry requirements
A person is eligible for a position as postdoctoral research fellow if he or she has obtained a PhD no more than seven years before the last date of employment as postdoc.

The position is for 2 years.

Application process
An employment application must contain the following documents in English or Swedish:

1. A complete curriculum vitae, including date of the thesis defence, title of the thesis, previous academic positions, academic title, current position, academic distinctions, and committee work

2. A complete list of publications

3. A summary of previous work with individuals with eating disorders

4. A summary of experience with neuropsychological testing, structured psychiatric diagnostic interviews, microdialysis procedures, fMRI, and genetic and biomarker studies

5. Verifications for crediting of illness, military service, work for labour unions or student organisations, parental leave or similar circumstances

6. Verification from the thesis defence committee or the equivalent (only if the thesis defence is scheduled within three months after the application deadline)

7. Verification of licensure in psychology

The application is to be submitted on the MyNetwork recruitment system.
