hela Sverige Postdoctoral Position: Stereoselective Synthesis of Novel Chiral Cyclopentane Scaffolds

We have an exciting opportunity for you to conduct independent cutting-edge work in state-of-the-art laboratories while teaming with other AstraZeneca scientists. You'll also be able to collaborate with a leading academic advisor who will provide further support and guidance. Additionally, we'll encourage you to attend and present at international scientific conferences and publish high-profile papers.
Your major responsibilities
• Developing new synthetic methodologies and expanding the scope and structural motifs for the stereoselective synthesis of novel chiral cylopentane derivatives
• Showing strong initiative in developing ideas and bringing them into practice in the laboratory
• Working collaboratively with other synthetic and analytical chemistry experts
• Publishing results in high-impact journals as well as communicating results within AstraZeneca
Minimum experience
• A PhD-level education (or equivalent) in synthetic organic chemistry
Preferred experience/requirements
• A strong passion for and commitment to synthetic organic chemistry
• A strong knowledge of asymmetric and stereoselective synthesis
• Experience of organometallic chemistry.
• The ability to independently design and execute experiments and interpret results
• Excellent practical laboratory skills
• A strong scientific track record, as evidenced by published or accepted papers in peer-reviewed journals
• The ability to work well as part of a team
