The Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology are seeking a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Physiology. The position is full-time for two years, starting 1 June 2012. The position is tied to a project related to the onset of brain damage. DUTIES: The postdoctoral fellow will investigate the role inflammation plays in the onset of brain damage. Experimental models in newborn mice, immunohistochemical methods, the study of blood-brain barrier functions and FACS analysis are included. The position includes time for own research and is also associated with some teaching obligation. QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should have a PhD degree in a relevant field obtained a maximum of three years prior to the closing date for the application. Experience in experiments on whole animals, immunohistochemistry and molecular biology techniques, and FACS analysis are meriting. Good knowledge of neurohistology is necessary. A research background in brain injury and inflammation research is an advantage. For more information, visit
