The core focus of Longboat Explorers' research program is to evaluate and characterize a novel source of cellular and biological material from full-term amniotic fluid, with a specific emphasis on characterising and evaluating the mesenchymal stem/stroma cells present in this fluid.
Arbetsuppgifter: The applicant will employ various cellular and molecular assays as well as transcriptome and genome sequencing methods to investigate features of the cells relevant for cell therapeutics and regenerative medicine applications. The applicant will also work with collaborators to assess the cells in functional assays using animal models of disease. A state of the art laboratory for such work will be available to the applicant.
Utbildning/Erfarenhet: Applicants should have a PhD in cell or molecular biology. Applicants with experience in 1) MSC biology, 2) bioinformatics will be prioritised.
