hela Sverige The Department of Medical Epidemiology and Biostatistics (MEB) is among the largest departments of epidemiology in Europe with special focus on increasing our knowledge of the aetiology of different diseases. Our department consists of researchers, doctoral students, biostatisticians, data collectors and database administrators as well as administrative personnel, in total some 250 staff. Division and Duties
The Swedish Twin Registry has performed genotyping on a high throughput platform (Psychchip, i.
e., customised Illumina HumanCoreExome chip) on 15,000 young twins from two longitudinal studies on child psychiatric and behavioural problems. The successful candidate is expected to do analyses on these data using different designs including, GWAS, twin and GCTA heritabilities and genetic correlations, and polygenic risk scores on diagnostic and continuous measures of mental health problems. The work should also include to integrate comorbidity, longitudinal information and environmental measures in these analyses.
Entry requirements
A person is eligible for a position as Postdoctoral Researcher if he or she has obtained a PhD no more than seven years before the last date of employment as postdoc.
Applicants should have a PhD degree or equivalent education in genetic epidemiology, behaviour genetics or statistics. We are looking for a person with big interest and documented experience of analysing genetic data, preferably on psychiatric outcome. Knowledge in GWAS, GCTA and twin analyses are desirable. Very good oral and written communication skills in English are required, along with ample experience with writing and publishing research articles in English. The position also requires a person who can take own initiatives but competence in collaboration in a larger team is also necessary.

The position is for 2+2 years (after positive evaluation).
