The Department of Mathematics (MA) seeks to recruit a Postdoc. The research consists of combining suitable techniques in micro-local analysis, harmonic analysis (including Fourier analysis) and theory of generalised functions to establish continuity results of so-called Weyl-Hörmander pseudo-differential operators, with relaxed conditions on the involved weight functions and Riemannian metrics.

Linnaeus University, Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Technology, Växjö, Sweden
Extent:
The basis for a postdoctoral position is 100 % permanent position to no longer than a maximum of three months.
Context of position:
The post-holder will primarily conduct research on in the fields described above. An essential part is to carry over certain techniques deduced by Bony-Chemin in the middle of 80th, to the case of ultra-differentiable functions and their distribution spaces.
Up to 20% time can be dedicated to teaching and other departmental tasks.
Qualification requirements:
Qualified for appointment is the one who holds or is qualified to hold a PhD,and who has completed the degree no more than three years before the application deadline.
Applicants must not have previously been employed as a postdoctoral fellow for more than a year in the same or related subject area at Linnaeus University.
Assessment criteria:
• Good record of scientific publication in relevant research fields
• Experience of working in an international research environment
• Good knowledge of English language
Applicants will be selected through a qualitative overall assessment of their competences and skills, with respect to their ability to conduct advanced research and to contribute to successful development of the research environment.
