Postdoc in synthetic chemistry and protein structure

Area of responsibilities/description of the work
One year chemistry postdoctoral fellow position to work on the development of small molecule sirtuin inhibitors based on the tenovin structure. Candidates must have experience in sirtuin biology, synthetic chemistry, cloning, protein expression and purification, assay development, enzymology, structural biology, molecular docking, thermodenaturation assays, SPR, and crystalography. Previous experience in a drug discovery programme and chemical biology techniques is advantageous as is the ability to effectively collaborate within a well established team of chemists and biologists.
Qualifications
To qualify, the applicant must hold a doctor's degree in synthetic organic chemistry and a few years of postdoctoral experience. Applicants who have completed their degree no more than four years before the last date for applications should be given priority. Candidates who have completed their degree earlier than this should receive equal priority if special grounds exist.
