We look for a post-doctoral researcher interested in working on the interfaces between fire science, forest management, and dendrochronology to support incorporation of fire-related risks into forest management. The project will make use of an existing decision support system and will aim at incorporating the fire risks in the decision-making "pipeline".
Qualifications:
The candidate should possess solid GIS skills, be comfortable with R programming and have a good publication record. Fluent English is a must. Candidate should exhibit good writing skills and ability to work in friendly but highly multi-tasking environment. PhD degree should be in silviculture, GIS-related topics or statistics. Driving license, ability to communicate in Swedish are not mandatory, but desired.
The application must contain a summary of the research experience, expectation on the position and future plans (max 1 page), CV and contact information to two reference persons. As postdoctoral appointments are career-developing positions for junior researchers, we are primarily looking for candidates with a doctoral degree that is three years old at most.
