Position Description
Volvo Group Truck Technology is looking for a Platform Geometry Architect, in the department of platform management.

We maintain the current modular architecture and develop it for the future technologies, such as electro mobility and automation. The development of technology move very fast and we see several opportunities to improve the product with new solutions, new functions supported by increased amount of mechatronic solutions as well as increased services supported by connectivity.

We are looking for new employees with passion to work and develop sustainable transport solutions with pioneering products and services for the transport and infrastructure industries.
Required skills
You have a strong drive, energy level and ability to manage technical investigations. You should be able to do this by defining digital mock ups, DMU, with the help from the platform team. You have a good knowledge on how truck are designed and also competence within electro mobility vehicle design.

Responsibilities
The Platform Geometry Architect has the responsibility to:
Develop the digital mock up for e mobility and other new technologies
Working closely with the Vehicle Architect, Platform architect and the e mob cast team to define the Digital mock up
Authorities
The Platform Geometry Architect has the authority to take necessary decisions in order to fulfil his/her responsibilities. Decisions should be in coherence with the, Platform roadmap and project prerequisites.
Competence
A Platform Architect is a senior position and the following competencies are needed:
Complete vehicle skill, you know the trucks
Good understanding of e-mobility
CAD, Creo paremetric
Truck architecture knowledge. You know the current vehicle architecture and how it has evolved over time with its strengths and weaknesses
Expertise in area of modular architecture, ability to coach and provide knowledge transfer
Analytical and structured. The Vehicle geometry architect will work with extremely complex product diversity and a major part of the responsibility consists of demonstrating in CAD
Highly proficient in spoken English
Organizational belonging
The Platform Architect role belongs to platform management and you will report to Ulf Danielsson.
