for a creative, highly organised and enthusiastic Picture Editor to
work full-time for us. At GuidePal, we are passionate about travel,
and we believe that the only way to really experience a city is to do
it like a local. We're also aware that a great picture can speak a
thousand words, particularly when it comes to travel, so we're
constantly developing the standard of our images in our guides. This
role is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our undeveloped
picture desk at an early stage and to grow and develop within an
increasingly more senior position.
The role will involve:
• picture research across a range of sources
• building an image library
• using Photoshop etc. to edit images
• liaising with featured venues to obtain high-quality images
• managing and coordinating any in-house picture staff and any
external photographers
• taking initiative to source and direct photographers within
a set budget
• Assisting with the design and production of our newsletters
Working at our Stockholm HQ, you'll be liaising with Editorial team
members in London, as well as other in-house teams (tech, design,
marketing), and will need excellent communication skills.
Additionally, you will have:
• relevant experience within this field
• much initiative to take charge of an undeveloped picture desk
• a meticulous nature with outstanding organisational skills
• impeccable attention to detail
• great photoshop skills
• the ability to multitask
• an excellent standard of English
• a passion for travel and an interest in travel guide production
