Owed to its advanced structure, Magento can fulfill the requirements of every entrepreneur around the world. There is almost nothing that this shopping cart cannot achieve.
Naturally, we are looking for someone who is passionate about Magento. Candidates with prior experience of appropriate technologies will be given extra consideration, but all candidates with a strong grasp of core architectural and programming principles, particularly experience with similar languages and concepts will be viewed favourably.
We believe in developers, because we are developers. Productive developers have the full backing of the company and the power (and great responsibility!) that comes with it.
Therefore, the task of a Magento back-end developer firmly depends on the client's needs. Your tasks will vary between projects, and also vary on difficulty and duration. Moreover, you will need to be on point with communicating with your peers and with your Project Manager in order to provide results.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
Ideal candidate
• Good English is a must;
• Self-starter attitude;
• Understand how e-commerce works;
• You can write clean code that can pass a review process;
• Well-grounded thinking;
• Dilligent about your skills set;
• Proactivity and enthusiasm to contribute to the growth of the company.
Required Technical skills
• PHP7
• MySQL
• Git
Useful Technical skills
• Good at OOP
• Magento 1 and 2 (we use M2 for all new projects);
• Composer
• nginx or Apache2, Redis; Varnish;
• Google Cloud, Jenkins, Ansible;
• New Relic;
• Basic Unix knowledge
• Basic concepts (ssh, private-public key pairs, sshfs, vim/nano, etc)
