The current position advertised is for a Safety Agreement Manager who will be placed within the Alliance Management Section at one of the global sites; Gothenburg or Gaithersburg. We are aiming for equal distribution between our R&D sites.
Safety Agreement Managers create and develop pharmacovigilance agreements working within the global Licensing Partner Team. Our Team interacts with internal and external stakeholders and is in strong focus for all the strategic externalization activities AstraZeneca performs. The company?s externalization activities are part of the long term strategy for AstraZeneca and currently one of the highest priorities.
We focus on collaborating with Licensing Partners for the exchange and delivery of activities associated with pharmacovigilance and regulatory requirements. Processes to support these requirements include negotiation and development of new safety data exchange agreements to support licensing agreements, maintaining and updating established safety agreements. Safety Agreement Managers network across the global sites contributing to the development of the area including adopting new ways of working, supporting a performance driven culture and ensuring timely delivery to high quality standards.
The position requires regular contact with persons of influence to develop new ways of working, a high level of cultural sensitivity and interactive communication. This necessitates considerable tact, discretion and persuasion to obtain desired outcomes for the business while establishing and maintaining successful ongoing professional relationships.
The role
We are looking for 1 Patient Safety Scientist and the position holder will report to the global Section Director in Alliance Management. The position will require close collaboration with the global Patient Safety lead of Licensing Agreements. Work is performed in global teams to support pharmacovigilance processes and standards.
The successful individual will be expected to act independently and collaboratively with licensing partners, global colleagues and stakeholders across all functions in AstraZeneca. This will require an awareness of, and adherence to, the PV regulations under which AstraZeneca operates.
The team optimizes AstraZeneca's interactions and contract negotiations with our licensing partners to ensure compliance, inspection readiness and top tier control.
Responsibilities of the group include:
