Are you looking for an opportunity to join an Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) team which appreciates collaboration and non-traditional ways of working? Good news! Axis' IPR team is expanding and is now looking for a Patent Engineer to join our well-established team.
At Axis, the IPR team has an important role in supporting and guiding the whole Axis Group in various IPR related matters. As our main focus is to find patentable ideas, we spend most of our time evaluating new ideas together with Axis' development teams to turn the ideas into patents. To appreciate the role, you therefore honestly enjoy growing the smallest seed of an invention to a ready-to-file application.
In the role as a Patent Engineer you will be responsible for handling an invention throughout its whole life including initial evaluation, patent application drafting, and prosecution. You will work broadly with Axis' technologies ranging from video to new initiatives within audio and software. Part of your time you will spend on assisting projects with patent clearance and you may also be involved in patent landscaping for new technologies. Together with the rest of the IPR team, you will also work with innovation stimulating activities to broaden our patent portfolio.
In Axis' IPR team you will find a collaborating group of people where it is natural to assist, discuss and learn from each other in the everyday work. We are looking for a person that appreciates and believes in this way of working.
Besides that, we think you have the following qualifications:
A master's degree in engineering
A curiosity for new technologies within information technology
Several years of experience working with patents
Very good interpersonal skills and can make people talk
Inquisitive and can handle keeping a lot of irons in the fire
Fluent in Swedish and English
