Description
Group Intellectual Property, with global responsibility of IP matters within Stora Enso, needs to further extend the team by a Patent Attorney to join us in Karlstad or in Stockholm, Sweden.
As a patent attorney at Stora Enso you will support all divisions within Stora Enso and you will be involved in different kind of patent matters, e.g. give advice to the divisions, evaluate ideas, give patentability opinions, draft and prosecute patent applications, oppositions and appeals.
You will be part of a team of total ten people within Group Intellectual Property where you will report to the Patent Manager. As a Patent Attorney you will have great responsibility and you will be planning your own projects independently. You will act as a trusted advisor in patent matters to the internal customers and work proactively with your stakeholders to make the right decisions in patent matters. As a Patent Attorney you will have an important role in Stora Enso's journey to become a renewable growth company where you will have the opportunity to work with new products and new technics. Stora Enso is going through an interesting phase where the right candidate has many possibilities to be included in a wide range of new areas and responsibilities within this field of expertise.
You will have numerous international contacts both internally within Stora Enso as well as with patent offices and external patent attorneys.

Qualifications
You have an engineering degree, preferable a Master of Science degree in Chemistry or equivalent. If you have an engineering degree from another discipline it is however important that you have a basic knowledge of chemistry. We see that you have at least 3-5 years of patent experience from industry, private practice or patent office. Previous experience from the industry sector is considered as a merit.
You are fluent in English, both verbal and written and additional language skills in Swedish and/or Finnish is beneficial.
As a person you are self-motivated, analytical and have a results- oriented mindset. Since you will support all Stora Enso divisions and within different technical areas, it is important to be flexible and have an attitude to cope with the changing demands Group IP is facing. To be successful in this role it is important to be a team player and have good cooperation and communication skills.
The location is at Innovation Centre in Sickla, Stockholm, or in Research Center in Karlstad.
