Hereby advertises application expert positions within the areas of parallel programming and computational fluid dynamics at the National Supercomputer Centre.

Your future workplace

The National Supercomputer Centre (NSC) at Linköping University is a provider of leading edge national supercomputing resources and has been one of the leading HPC providers in Sweden for more than 25 years. We provide a wide range of high performance computing and data services to members of academic institutions throughout Sweden and to our partners, the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute and Saab. The HPC resources at NSC are used by researchers within a wide range of scientific areas, such as computational fluid dynamics, materials science, many other areas of physics and chemistry, life sciences, meteorology/climatology, etc. In addition to our national services, NSC is involved in a number of international collaborations, such as PRACE for future European large-scale computing, EGI for the European grid infrastructure, and IS-ENES2 for creating a pan-European infrastructure for climate calculations.

We are a multi-national group of roughly 30 people with various technology and science backgrounds who all share the ambition of developing and delivering the best HPC and large-scale storage resources and services. We want to make the difficult task of fully utilizing the power of HPC as easy as possible for researchers across all scientific disciplines. At NSC, you will both widen and deepen your technology skills and as part of our 8 people strong application expert team, you will interact closely with both system experts and the researchers that use our resources.
