Trygg Hansa has a long tradition for working with data - We have used this ability to implement efficient financial closing processes that enable us to publish our financial results before any other listed company in the Nordics.
As more companies and branches are added to the group we need to extend and mature our solution even further.
You will become part of our experienced team which in collaboration with our sourcing partner is delivering application maintenance, development and a number of projects. The position will initially be related to an ongoing project pertaining to a new claims system in Tryg / Trygg Hansa.
The position is located in Stockholm, Sweden, but a low level of travelling to Denmark and Norway is expected.
Your role as an Oracle ETL Developer
In your role you will be given full responsibility for integrating one or more data sources into our data warehouse. This work comprises several disciplines such as data profiling, understanding of the target data model and ETL development. As the best solutions are developed in collaboration, you will get to engage with people throughout the organization. You will be joining a team which is spread across multiple countries, such as Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and India. Depending on your level of experience and your personal skills and interests it will be possible to obtain a delivery responsibility for an offshore team.
The position is primarily as a developer, but some operational support may be required.
Do you have good analytical skills and a "can-do" attitude?
We have recently migrated our on-premise Exadata stack to Oracle Cloud (OCI). We have been using Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB), but we are on a path of transitioning into other ETL-tools. It is of course an advantage if you can demonstrate experience with these technologies, but your curiosity and willingness to learn is equally appreciated.
You most likely have a background in Computer Science or a related technical field. You may have worked with data warehousing and business intelligence. Solid experience with data analysis, Oracle, SQL, ETL-development and/or PL-SQL is needed but it can be developed given good analytical skills and a "can-do" attitude.
As a person you are engaged and have a collaborative attitude, as we believe that this is key to drive success in our partly outsourced setup. You are persistent in meeting your targets and deadlines even under difficult conditions.
