Job Description
As an OPM at Nobel Biocare you manage all aspects of diverse projects which require technical knowledge and expertise. Uses project management tools including EBS (IT/Engineering/Scientific). Leads, coordinates and/or facilitates cross functional technical teams with direct and dotted line reporting to achieve project goals in support of the company's goals and annual operating plan. Tracks, communicates, and reports on the issues and status updates for projects.
The OPM runs internal operations projects and represents operations in assigned product launch projects. For launch projects, the OPM coordinates key logistics and planning activities for the phasing in and out of products at Nobel Biocare on a project basis. For internal projects the OPM identifies, develops, and manages initiatives that drive service and reduce costs. This role will ensure robust plans are in place to meet deliverables in assigned projects.
This includes:
- To manage a portfolio of projects / initiatives, running in parallel, ensuring stakeholder alignment.
- To successfully deliver each project according to specification, on time and at budgeted cost.
- To be the key point of contact for all operations related activities in the phasing in and out of products (assortment change) on a project basis.
- To centrally plan and coordinate all planning and logistics activities for the phasing in and out of products for assigned projects.
- Ensure optimum product availability for the successful launch of new products in line with launch plans and followed up monthly by KPls.
- Be the main project manager and feel particular ownership for projects related to operations in America.
- Quickly learn and apply the standard tools and processes implemented in the department.
- Maintain up-to-date status of relevant documentation and monitoring in a transparent manner.
- Continuously improve, develop and implement, together with stakeholders, global, robust and harmonized processes for the phasing in and out of products.
- Interact with operations functions, launch teams, R&D and Business Units.
- Identify, develop and manage initiatives which drive service and reduce supply chain costs.
- Persistently apply DBS tools like PSP, TPI, Kaizen and other LEAN tools where suitable.
- Be a frequent requestor of master data changes in SAP and learn basic SAP skills.
Job Requirements
- Critical Knowledge and Qualifications, what the role holder must know; including ony required general or professional qualifications/education is B.Sc. or M.Sc. in the area of Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance or Engineering is preferred. Qualified Project Management.
- Fluent written and spoken English, other languages are an asset Qualified Project Management.
- Strong communication and organization skills i.e. a well organized and structured individual.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills + good business acumen.
- Comfortable working in matrix organizations across multiple functions and geographies.
- Understand the links and connections between the supply chain, phase in/out, master data, product development and sales.
Critical Experience
- Working with SAP (or other ERP) and Master Data systems
- Experience of Supply or Production Planning in SAP is highly appreciated.
- Ability to run a project from concept to conclusion i.e. outlining goals, project phases, timelines, resources, budget and activities as well as monitoring progress, taking corrective actions and escalating issues on a timely basis thus ensuring project objectives and deadlines are met.
- At least 5 years' experience in managing multiple projects, at the same time, in an operational/IT environment. Preferably in a global context.
- Projects are aimed at, but not limited to, assortment change as well as process development and reengineering work in the areas of warehouse management, transportation, labelling, packaging, and order fulfillment processes.
