Responsibility:

As Operational Excellence Expert within Production and Logistics you will have the chance to bring valuable technical improvement and leadership skills to a key improvement program for a leading global organization.

AkzoNobel is implementing ALPS (AkzoNobel Leading Performance Systems), ensuring company-wide standardized processes, a culture of continuous improvement, process-centric behaviors, AkzoNobel values and required capabilities.

Within this context your mission as Operational Excellence Expert is to drive improvements in production and logistics in Europe and beyond, for example by bridging the gap between Supply Chain and Manufacturing. You will connect forecasting and planning processes to production scheduling and customer orders to a dispatch schedule. You will also travel a big part of the time, mainly in Sweden, Netherlands, and Germany.

Main responsibilities:

• Responsible for analyzing maturity of ALPS processes and plant/site performance relative to these processes and providing feedback and guidance to site on how to improve.
- Responsible for assessing the current state at site and developing and agreeing with site a deployment plan for the work processes, methods and tools.
- Responsible for managing (monitoring, reporting, communication, progress and metrics) the deployment of the relevant work processes, tools and methods on the site according to the plan.
- Responsible for supporting implementation of tools such as the OAM portal, production scheduling tool and ensuring full alignment with ALPS processes. Responsible for supporting sites in proper use of SAP and these tools.
• Responsible for s upporting, coaching and training the operational managers and employees on sites. This includes supporting them in the change process (change leadership).
- Responsible for aligning with experts in maintenance and operations and feeding back valuable insights to the Operational Excellence Team Lead.

• BSc degree in Technology, Engineering, (Technical) Business Administration or similar.
• Hands-on experience with production planning/ scheduling.
• Minimum 6 years plant experience; production and logistics.
• Good working knowledge of SAP (production and logistics modules).
• Experience in continuous improvement tools such as Lean, Six Sigma or other continuous Improvement methodologies and tools is preferred.
• Change mindset, energized by improving.
• Good problem-solving skills and able to identify and structure issues, run accurate analyses and synthesize recommendations.
• Good in English (verbal and written).

Varaktighet, arbetstid
This is a permanent position on a full time basis, reporting to the Operational Excellence team lead, and working out of Bohus or Sundsvall. This position requires frequent travel; up to 70% of the time.
