Operational Excellence and Business Development Director - Quality & Customer Satisfaction

Quality & Customer Satisfaction is a function in the Complete Vehicle organization in Volvo Group Trucks Technology. We have a global team of diverse competencies focusing on the customer and their satisfaction, defining emerging quality issues, and supporting our dealer network with competence to solve problems.

Role description

To our management team, we are now looking for a very experienced executive to drive our executive board services, as well as closely together with the Vice President and Q&CS management team form and drive the tactical development and realization of the strategic agenda for QCS.

Executive Board services include driving, planning and preparation of activities for the EVP fora Volvo Group Quality Board, quality reporting responsibilities towards AB Volvo Board as well as providing Q&CS MT and senior management support, by leading time-sensitive and confidential assignments.

You will be part of Q&CS management team and have the responsibility for driving and forming the development, implementation, realization and communication of Q&CS strategies and initiatives. You will have a strong impact by being the catalyst of business transformation/change management, and improving operational excellence in close co-operation with the Quality & Customer Satisfaction line functions, other Complete Vehicle departments, and GTT. This requires a person with great capability to involve peers - to engage, lead, support and direct with integrity and trust.

The role is also responsible for defining how to monitor and report the department's overall performance and development in collaboration with the management team.

Profile
Strong leadership skills with proven ability to facilitate cross-functional, cross-business unit teams on various levels. Easily applying structure to complexity.
Strong leader who can influence on all levels.
Excellent analytical skills in combination with creativity, drive and target orientation.
Proficient in leading operational excellence activities, utilizing related tools and techniques.
Excellent communication skills in English - both spoken and written, with strong presentation and business writing skills on executive level.
Excellent in building sustainable and trustful relationships and networks as well as strong at building peer relationships.

Requirements
MSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
At least 15 years of working experience
Solid work experience in Quality and Customer Satisfaction areas
At least 10 years' experience as a manager
Multiple years of leading-leader experience
Experience from global management; preferably work experience from multiple countries/sites
10+ years' experience from product development in the automotive industry
Experience of working in global management teams
Fluency in English

In this position you will report to the Vice President Q&CS and be placed in Gothenburg. The role has no direct reports.
