What you will do

At Group Trucks Purchasing you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large.
We are looking for a passionate buyer to join our Thermal Management Purchasing team, based in Gothenburg, Sweden, with colleagues in both Sweden and France. This role offers a global environment filled with exciting challenges and opportunities for growth!
As a Commodity Buyer for Thermal scope, you will be responsible for selecting suppliers and managing the continuous improvement and performance of the supplier portfolio.
In collaboration with your purchasing team and cross-functional network, you will proactively drive all necessary activities to ensure best-in-class supplier QDCFTSR (*) performance throughout product development and serial production.
(*) QDCFTSR = Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability and Risk Management.

Key responsibilities

* Drive all relevant activities to deliver QDCFTSR (*) targets during Sourcing/Project and Operations phases
* Lead strategic sourcing projects to completion in collaboration with cross-functional teams
* Drive commercial negotiations with suppliers
* Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers and ensure implementation
* Identify, mitigate and monitor risks and supplier crisis
* Actively contribute to team development by offering improvement ideas, supporting your peers, sharing best practices, and seeking assistance when necessary

Who are you?

* You have a solid track record as a buyer, demonstrating your expertise and reliability in procurement
* You are an agile team player who is eager to learn, improve, and collaborate effectively with others
* You have the courage to drive change and experiment with new ideas, pushing boundaries to achieve outstanding results
* With a can-do attitude and a proactive approach, you are ready to tackle any challenge that comes your way
* You thrive in conflict situations and excel in negotiation, ensuring the best outcomes for the team
* You are a clear communicator, both with internal and external partners
* You hold a relevant academic degree, such as in business or engineering
* You are fluent in English, both written and spoken
* Experience in the automotive industry is a valuable advantage
