Purchasing team Powertrain Installation is responsible for direct material to Volvo Cars Plants. We purchase material to advanced projects, new projects and running production for all Volvo Car Corporations manufacturing plants. Drive Line Installation main areas are "Fuel System, Engine Mounts, Exhaust and Air Induction Systems". Propulsion is very much into the lead of electrification of drivelines, but at the same time, we have to take care of the combustion engines. The team consists of nine people, category buyers as well as operational buyers.

As Operational Buyer you have the opportunity to be the "CEO of your own business". We expect you to be the expert of you own business areas, where you will handle capacity, design changes and lead constant issues. You will also contribute to the yearly negotiations and setting long-term purchasing strategies.
Main responsibilities
* Act on design changes within the projects
* Secure the correct bought capacity. If necessary lead capacity installation at the suppliers
* Issue purchase orders and make other transactions, updates and reports
* Establish action plans on part-specific supplier issues in running business
* Strive to attain constant improvements and increase efficiency by e.g. establishing a supplier base in accordance to VCC overall strategies
* Be a part of a Global Commodity Council
* Represent VCG and Purchasing towards the supplier base
* Work toward short and long term targets
* Participate in cross functional teams with Engineering, Quality and Cost Estimating
* Work toward individual targets
* Secure agreements are implemented in Purchasing system and follow up on result
* Act on design changes within the projects
* Issue purchase orders and make other transactions, updates and reports
* Frequent supplier contacts in day-to-day business
Possibilities of development

Required qualifications
* Commercial or Technical University degree or equivalent
* 1-2 years of experience within purchasing or other jobs with a large proportion of customer and supplier contacts as well as negotiation
* Big interest in purchasing and good communication skills
* Computer Skills, MS Office and especially PowerPoint
* Master the English language both spoken and written
Meritorious qualifications
* Experience from the automotive industry
* Driver's license

* Good collaboration skills - able to interact efficient with our counterparts
* Sense of urgency
* Able to adapt tactics and behavior to reach result
* Ability to independent drive and complete tasks
